Ingredients

The following ingredients are enough to prepare this recipe for chicken breast with cheese sauce for 4 people :

  • 250 ml cream
  • 1 cup matured cheddar cheese (200 g)
  • 2 chicken breasts (500 g)
  • Olive oil (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 4 cloves of garlic (5 g)
  • 1 onion (60 g)

Preparation

This recipe for chicken breast with cheese sauce is actually quite simple! We’ve made it extra easy for you and divided it into two parts:

1. Prepare the chicken breast

  • First, cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes and season with salt and pepper.
  • Then heat some olive oil in a large frying pan over a high heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, place the chicken pieces in the pan and sear them lightly so the meat doesn’t lose any moisture. After 3 minutes, remove the chicken pieces from the pan when they are golden brown, but not quite cooked through.

2. Prepare the cheese sauce

  • The chicken pieces have probably absorbed all the oil in the pan, so add a little more oil and set the pan over a low heat.
  • While the oil is heating, finely chop the onion and thinly slice the garlic.
  • Add the onion to the pan and sauté over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes until it turns golden and slightly translucent.
  • Then add the garlic slices and let them fry for just a few seconds. It’s really important that you do n’t add them at the same time as the onion or they will burn before the onion is well cooked.
  • When the garlic has turned golden brown, add the cream and cheese and sprinkle with some extra salt.
  • Keep the heat low and stir well to melt the cheese into a homogeneous sauce that mixes well with the onion and garlic. The contrast in texture between the soft onion and the crispy fried garlic gives this recipe a very unique touch.
  • Finally, add the chicken pieces to the pan so they can cook in the sauce. Let them simmer for about 5 minutes and then everything is ready to serve.

  • 2 chicken breasts (500 g)
  • Olive oil (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (3 g)
  • 3 eggs (150g)

Preparation

  • First, cut the chicken breast into finger-wide strips.
  • Then crush the garlic, parsley, paprika powder, with a pestle and mortar and add some salt and olive oil.
  • Pour the mixture into a separate bowl, add the eggs and beat well.
  • Add the chicken strips and stir vigorously until they have a nice layer of the mixture.
  • Then place the bowl in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours to allow the mixture to absorb thoroughly.
  • Once the bars have been in the fridge for a few hours, take them out and roll each bar in breadcrumbs. Make sure the chicken is completely covered.
  • Heat a large amount of oil in a pan, add the chicken strips and fry until golden brown on the outside and well cooked on the inside.
  • Finally, place the strips on kitchen paper to remove the excess oil. That way it will be much easier to dip the chicken fingers in the cheese sauce.
