Ingredients

  • 1 kg steak fillets (4 pieces)
  • 200 grams breadcrumbs (1 cup)
  • 200 grams, shredded ham (1 cup)
  • 300 tomatoes (3 pieces)
  • 200 grams mozzarella, shredded (1 cup)
  • 15 grams oregano (1 tablespoon)
  • 60 ml olive oil (4 tablespoons)
  • 100 onion (1 piece)
  • Basil leaves to decorate
  • 125 ml water (1/2 cup)
  • 15 grams of salt (1 tablespoon)

How to prepare the tomato sauce

  • First, put the tomatoes in a bowl and crush them into a paste.
  • Then add water until you get a thick sauce.
  • Finally, cover with cling film and let it rest in the fridge.

How to prepare the Neapolitan steak

  • Bake the fillets first before putting them in the oven to prevent them from being raw.
  • Place the breadcrumbs on a clean plate and brush the fillets.
  • Then heat up some olive oil in a pan. Bake them until they turn golden brown. They will continue to cook in the oven later.
  • Then remove from the heat, place on a paper kitchen roll and let them cool.
  • Once cooled, place the steaks on a baking sheet. Try to put them all on one plate to reduce the baking time.
