Stomach ulcers are wounds in the mucous lining of the stomach. They mainly occur in people over the age of 50 and more in men than in women. In this article, we will inform you about some natural and homemade remedies that will help you treat stomach ulcers.

Stomach ulcers: what do we need to know?

Heartburn, poor digestion, pain after eating, weight loss without dieting and vomiting are some of the most common symptoms of stomach ulcers. In more severe cases, bleeding may also occur.

A stomach ulcer can have several causes:

  • A bacterial infection:  More specifically, an infection with what is known as Helicobacter Pylori, which reaches the stomach through food.
  • Bad Nutrients:  This means nutrients such as fatty foods, sauces, spicy foods, or overeating.

  • Heartburn:  People who frequently suffer from heartburn are also more likely to have an ulcer.
  • Daily consumption of alcohol or tobacco.
  • The intake of certain pharmaceutical products, mainly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as analgesics (aspirin), ibuprofen and cortisone.
  • stress
  • Hereditary factors : People with a family history of stomach ulcers are more likely to develop them themselves.
  • Cancer

If you think you may have an ulcer, it is imperative that you see a specialist to arrive at a correct diagnosis through various techniques.

There are ways to prevent the appearance of stomach ulcers. Doctors therefore recommend certain dietary patterns, in which it is best to limit your consumption of coffee, tea, alcohol or tobacco (which prevent wounds from healing well) to a minimum and to avoid taking medication that can lead to stomach ulcers (so do not touch ‘addicted’ to aspirin or ibuprofen).

It is also better to keep your stress level as low as possible by going on holiday on time or taking sufficient breaks.

  • Eat green bananas, fried or cooked, every day as the bananas help you build a layer around your stomach lining that protects it from the gastric juices.
  • Consume wheat germ. This repairs the damage caused by the gastric juices.
  • Peel and cut carrots into pieces, mix with a white cabbage leaf and a glass of water. Filter it all and sip it between meals.
  • Peel and cut a potato. Also cut three tomatoes and remove the seeds. Wash a leaf of a cabbage. Combine all ingredients in a blender and add a glass of water. After you’ve mixed it, filter it all and drink it twice a day.
  • Mix half an eggplant with a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of spirulina  (can be found in food stores). Mix and drink half a glass of this whole with water.
  • Bring a cup of water to a boil along with a tablespoon of molasses (syrup) and a tablespoon of chamomile. Let it steep, filter it and then drink it. The best time for this drink is in the evening before your dinner.
